During the weeks prior to a much ballyhooed THERE’S A BUZZ ON THE BABYS advertising campaign, articles and addresses began circulating in teen beat magazines. Young readers were being primed for THE BABYS Network Television Appearances, many viewers and readers alike began to flood the Chrysalis Records public relations department with fan letters. All letters were promptly answered and each envelope was individually stamped with a ‘response date’ written by the staff members. In some cases, autographed promotional photographs were sent out and some letters were even answered by THE BABYS themselves!

A few enthusiastic, hard working representatives for public relations during this flood of non-stop fan mail were Ken Leighton, Linda Steiner and Christy Rundquist. There are nearly TWO-HUNDRED examples of these innocent time capsules sprinkled in and amongst the archives, many with the following sentiments and inquiries:

Our mission is this…simply email us with your name, offer up some pertinent information for a positive ID and tell us about your interest in THE BABYS. Submit, perhaps, a nice current photograph along with a period photograph (let’s say around 1977/1978) so that we may prepare your story in a featured showcase with the original fan letter that you wrote for all to enjoy!
